Maciej Wanecki was born on January 14, 2011, in Inowrocław.
CLUB CAREER
Maciej Wanecki is one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Poland, who began his football journey as a 5-year-old at Pogoń Mogilno. It was there that he took his first steps between the posts, developing his skills.
At the end of 2022, he was called up to the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Football Association squad for the 2011 birth year, where he quickly secured the position of first-choice goalkeeper.

In May 2023, he participated in the nationwide preselection camp for goalkeepers born in 2011, held in Bydgoszcz. He was then invited to regularly participate in the training camps of the Academy of Young Eagles. In July 2025, he attended the camp in Siedlce.
On July 1, 2024, he joined the Lech Poznań Academy. As a Lech player, he took part in many international tournaments, where he was repeatedly chosen as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

In the 2025/2026 season, Maciej is developing his skills with Lech Poznań’s U-15 team.
