Jakub Stępak was born on March 20, 2006, in Kraków.
CLUB CAREER
Jakub Stępak is a homegrown player of the Wisła Kraków Academy, where he has been training since his early childhood. He progressed through all stages of the club’s development system – from the U8 team up to U19, where he made his Central Junior League debut on May 28, 2022, in a match against Jagiellonia Białystok.
In the Wisła Kraków U19 side, he made a total of 30 appearances, keeping 4 clean sheets.
Starting from the spring round of the 2023/2024 season, he was promoted to the Wisła Kraków second team, competing in the III liga. For the reserves, he played 9 matches, recording 3 clean sheets.

On January 19, 2024, he extended his contract with the club until June 30, 2026, and later joined the first team’s winter training camp in Belek, Turkey. After the camp, he was officially registered for Fortuna 1 Liga competition. He began preparations for the 2025/2026 season as a member of Wisła Kraków’s first team.

For the 2025/2026 season, Stępak was loaned to Stal Stalowa Wola, competing in the Betclic II liga, where he will have the opportunity to gain further experience and showcase his skills at the national level.

INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Jakub has experience playing for Poland’s youth national teams U17 and U18:
- Poland U17 – debut on October 20, 2022, in a UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying match against Montenegro (0:2 loss), with a total of 2 appearances
- Poland U18 – debut on September 12, 2022, in a friendly match against Austria (4:0 win), with 1 appearance
